Pink And Green Stripes On Television

in the village of Salcaja / Guatemala

In fact, it is almost a small village. With a mere children's home situated on a hill, this beautiful place has virtually nothing in common. It will offer a fantastic views of the whole countryside. The nearest major city is just 20 minutes drive away.

Upon arrival, you pass through a first gateway, from where it is still a good 300 meters is relatively steep hill. In this case you already get the village's own hospital. As I would later learn some pride from the Head, where all children are regularly inspected and treated to ensure their health and health development. A true "luxury" that here may allow only a few.
After a brief explanation of the function and funding of the Foundation in the office of the Director, it goes on a detailed tour of the property.
the children standing next to a School, kindergarten, computer labs and various workshops for various skilled trades, a well-equipped large kitchen with its own bakery full catering available. In addition to the residents of the village, even children in need get a free meal from the environment. The most important part of the village, however, are the 17 houses which can accommodate up to 10 children with a foster mother square. During my visit I could see you one of my customers last year, which was fully booked with 167 children, where close to complete.
The prevailing atmosphere there, which is characterized by the constellation of children of any age, is very pleasant. If the children do not sit obediently in class, they play left out on the vast grounds of the orphanage.
When you look into their smiling faces, one would never suspect the hard blows of fate, the children had to plug in already. Impressive is also that they receive instead of meaningless material gifts of education and social skills to prevent it from slipping as many of their fellow citizens from Guatemala in you crime. The project is fully funded by the Foundation's Children's Future. But small donations through third parties and partners from Germany properties incorporated. children future, since the empty state coffers are not capable of the Children's Village to support financially. During a visit at the orphanage, you will immediately become an active helper himself, as we understand that the assistance is to have 100% of the children. Moreover, it quickly becomes apparent that the large own problems in comparison to those of little children are nothing. In the foundation's eight employees work Full-time (three part-time) and a large volunteer base to support the team in the office, at events and meetings. Under these impressions, this has also encouraged me to become active as a donor. More info at www.kinderzukunft.de
